Skøjteøen's burger universe that tastes a little like Austria
As the name suggests, Homeburger specialises in homemade burgers - the juicy kind. The man behind it all is Shayon Shadala, who has spent much of his career trying to create the ultimate burger.
Before finding his way to Reffen and Skøjteøen, Shayon lived in Austria, a fact that is not lost on his kitchen. At Skøjteøen, Shayon has added Kaiserschmarrn and a schnitzel burger to the Homeburger menu.
Kaiserschmarrn is named after the Austrian kaiser (emperor) Franz Joseph I, who was a fan of the fluffy, shredded pancakes, which in Shayon's version are served with raisins and plum sauce. His schnitzel burger comes with tartar sauce and a touch of spicy horseradish that gets your skating on.
