Gosht
Kurdish street food grilled on charcoal
At Gosht, the lovely couple Shayan Shadala and Rojgar Hama Jaza cherish the proud and tasty Kurdish cuisine. They both originate from the town of Silêmanî in Iraqi Kurdistan which is surrounded by mountains, is famous for its poets and excels in exquisite kebab.
Shayan and Rojgar have long dreamed of bringing Silêmanî’s kebab to Copenhagen. It has now happened – at Reffen, where they prepare different versions of their hometown specialty on a large charcoal grill in front of their homely eatery.
The grilled delights are served on home-baked Kurdish flatbread with various toppings and are seriously addictive.
Signature dish: Lamb shish
Lamb shish on a naan bread with grilled tomato, sliced onion and yoghurt sauce.
