Reffen's Pakistani cuisine with an award-winner on the menu

At Chatpata, the charismatic and versatile Ramzan Rafique is an excellent ambassador for Pakistani cuisine.

Born and raised in the Punjab province of Pakistan, he serves his favourite dishes from the homeland at Reffen - including his Dynamite Samosa Chaat, which won first prize at the European Street Food Awards 2024.

Ramzan is also very active on social media, where he generously shares his vast knowledge of Pakistani cuisine under #flamespakistani.

Before coming to Denmark in 2010, he completed a Master’s degree in Horticulture (the art of garden cultivation and management) in Pakistan and managed one of the country's largest public parks in the metropolis of Lahore, where he also ran several vegetable gardens.

Ramzan Rafique's green background is evident in his cooking. There is a strong emphasis on vegetables and he uses ingredients from the mule, which are atypical for Pakistani cuisine but perfectly suited to it.
