Where craftsmanship and good ingredients become liquid gold
At Reffen Brewery, we believe great beer starts with passion, creativity, and the finest ingredients. Located in the heart of Reffen Street Food, our brewery is dedicated to crafting unique, high-quality beers that complement the vibrant atmosphere of our community.
Behind the brewery is our talented team, head brewer Alex Bjærge Larsen and James Hunt. Alex has deep roots in the Copenhagen craft beer scene, maintaining strong connections with local brewers. Since 2019, he has run his own gypsy brewing company and is also a co-owner of a craft beer can shop on Amager. James, with a background in restaurants, bars and pubs, has a deep love for beer and the brewing process. Their expertise and passion ensure that every batch is brewed with precision and care, from selecting the best ingredients to perfecting the final pour.
Each pour reflects our commitment to quality
Together, Alex and James experiment with flavors and techniques, creating everything from crisp, refreshing lagers to bold, aromatic IPAs and fruity, complex wheat beers. With over 10 different brews released throughout the season, there’s always something new to discover.
You can enjoy our freshly brewed beers in Beer House and Beer Garden, where each pour reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and quality.

Beer of the Month
New Zealand Session IPA
This time Reffen's brewmaster has played around with the hops to create a New Zealand Session IPA. The beer is brewed using only New Zealand hops and Sub Zero Hop Kief, a concentrate of hop oils, has been added for an intense and fresh hop aroma.
The hops used - Motueka, Nelson Sauvin, Super Sauvin and Southern Cross - contribute delicate notes of lime, tropical fruit, white grape and grapefruit. The result is a light and refreshing beer with low bitterness, perfect for a sunny day at Reffen.
