Lubnan på Reffen

Lubnan

Mezze filled with the bold flavors of Lebanon

Lebanon is known for one of the Middle East’s most beloved cuisines – full of fresh herbs, warm spices, and classics like hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, halloumi, kibbeh, shish tawouk and shawarma.

These are exactly the flavors that Lebanese-born Nano Fadel grew up with and now serves at Reffen. Nano comes from the coastal town of Jounieh, north of Beirut, and lived and worked in several places across the Middle East before love brought him to Denmark in 2013.

He has always carried the cuisine of his homeland with him. In Denmark, he has run several Lebanese food trucks and imported Lebanese wine. The recipes come from his family’s kitchen and have been passed down through generations – with great support from Nano’s brother, who is both a chef and a butcher.

At Reffen, Nano serves his homemade Lebanese specialties as mezze, allowing his guests to try several small dishes in one serving – including a vegan version. Together, it becomes one big Lebanese flavor experience.
