Fauda

Vegetarian street food with Palestinian roots

At Fauda, falafel is more than just a snack – it’s the taste of the Eastern Mediterranean and a way to bring people together over food. Behind the stall is Mikkel Ehab Shafi, born in Denmark but raised in Akka (Acre) on the Mediterranean coast. It was there that he learned how falafel is truly meant to taste.

After nearly 30 years away from the streets and flavors of his childhood, Mikkel began to feel the longing – not just for falafel, but for the whole atmosphere that comes with it.

That was the beginning of Fauda. The name means “chaos” in Arabic – the good kind, where people gather close to a food stall, talk, share dishes, debate, and laugh.

Fauda is vegetarian with Palestinian roots and a simple mission: to bring people together over good food. In short, Fauda brings the flavors and atmosphere of Shafi’s childhood to Reffen.

On the menu, you’ll find crispy, homemade falafel and mezze like hummus and baba ghanoush – perfectly paired with zaatar fries or grilled halloumi.

Signature Dish: Fauda Mezze Combo
Falafel, chef’s salad, two mezze, freshly baked pita, zaatar fries, and tahini.
