Summer is here, and with it comes Reffen Live and free open-air concerts.
On Saturday, August 15, starting at 7:00 p.m., you can experience the Danish rock band Barselona and the DJ duo Den Sorte Skole on Reffen’s large outdoor stage, with support from Copenhagen-based Kata.Pult.
BARSELONA
Barselona has left its mark on Danish music for over a decade with a steady stream of releases and tours. The duo, Rud Aslak and Rasmus Theodor, broke through with their double debut albums Legebørn and Hjertebank and followed up with the critically acclaimed Væbnet Hjerte (2023).
In 2026, they’re back stronger than ever with their own label, RRekord, and the single “Udsving,” which was named P3’s “Uundgåelige.” A new album is set to drop this fall.
Live, Barselona is a unifying force: big choruses, heavy beats, vulnerable ballads, and sing-alongs—all delivered by a frontman who refuses to stand still.

DEN SORTE SKOLE
For nearly 20 years, Den Sorte Skole has been pushing the boundaries of how music can sound and be experienced. The duo combines sampling, electronic music, and composition in everything from albums to spectacular audiovisual shows.
Live, their performances are intense, layered, and uncompromising—a sonic journey that draws inspiration from club culture to symphonic music and global sound libraries.
Den Sorte Skole is now internationally recognized for their large-scale audiovisual shows, which they have performed at venues ranging from the Orange Stage at the Roskilde Festival to Power Square in Beijing.

Kata.pult navigates the tension between indie melancholy and electronic energy, creating a collective and honest sound with songs that resonate and stick with you. The band’s lyrics are direct and philosophical, revolving around the personal challenges each of us
faces in everyday life—nothing is too big or too small to be addressed.
Kata.pult gained attention with the vulnerable single “Lys for oven,” which was in rotation on P5. In 2025, they released their first EP, Kata.log, and in connection with that, played concerts at a number of Danish festivals, including URBAN Summer Sessions, Falk Festival, Nakke
Festival, Sejerø Festival, and Blue Ocean Music Festival. In 2026, the band is ready to meet their audience with plenty of energy and new Danish-language songs about finding inner peace and eagerly awaiting the discovery of true love.

The concerts are free and take place outdoors on our large stage by the water, so grab your friends and enjoy a truly special late-summer evening at Reffen.
Our bars and street food stalls are open all day from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., so there’s plenty of opportunity to fill both your stomach and your glass before the concert begins.
